introduce a 'call to war' feature
I agree you need to look at the Alliances V's Chains situation, but you could also introduce an option to declare war on anothr Alliance. Then, every one of your officers (who have attack turns available) would then join forces and attack as one large army against teh person you are attacking along with all their officers. If these attacks were successful, you could then determin how you could split the spoils (ie 50% to me and 50% amongst all the officers who took part). This could really liven up the alliance play and make for some exciting battles.

wow great idea! I hadnt heard this one before. I'd love to join up with my commander against some enemies. Not so shure about how this could work but it sounds very interesting.

This has been proposed already, but I do agree, it would be nice if you could take your officers into battle with u.
