i agree with lowering the repair costs (and i dont play for large DA) either that or discourage people from burning attacks blind, successfuldefended attack=defender sustains minimal damage & minimal repairs/loss of men

Tottaly agreed. It isn't normal that 3-5 peoples can spend 250 turns on a big account and take him down to a day of banking. Lower DA repairs would be more fair.

Strangly enough, I have noticed lately, my repair costs seems to be effected by the strength comparison. The only difference is when the strengths are about the same, sometimes the repair cost is really low, or really high.

Either the repair costs have to be changed, or make it so it goes by how high the person's SA is that your repairs are done by, not how high your DA is, cause in all reality, noone would use an enitire armory defending against someone that would only take 1/10 for example.
I had two attacks recently and got hit by 1/5 and 1/31.5 of my DA, and my repair was 8.4m....thats almost three turns repair.

Amen to this. I go the DA route for the large part of the age, in the hope that later in the age people will have more money and I can move to an attack-centered lifestyle. This would also somewhat encourage larger army sizes, which I think makes the game more fun for everybody.

I agree with Feril. It's not just the cost of the repairs (Which are higher this age), it the fact that so many attack turns are generated. If I would have known about the specific changes, and the costs before the age started, I would have changed my playing style accordingly. Now I'm committed, and have changed what I can..LOL

repairs are part as well, but I agree, to many turns is also part of the cause, but when someone has 1/100 of your DA to their SA, there should not be a turn or two's gold to repair them :S

Hah... and I was actually going to suggest this...
Really... I always need to repair my weapons! It's very irritating!!!

what krisv, feril,... said. repaircosts aren't the problem. The amount of turns per day should be reduced to from 24 to like 5. Buying DA will then at least mean something again.

Turn rate is the biggest problem, if they didn't basically have unlimited attacking, we'd have alot less people hitting blind.
I just dont' like how someone with a few BPM can hit me, and then I have 1-2m in repairs...thats almost more than they spent on weaps...

  11. Default-avatar

As others have said, reduce the turns from 24 a day and ppl will start attacking for good gold instead of 2 turns. :S

  12. Default-avatar

i agree with krisv, less turns will increase availabe gold. Therefore less hits per day, resulting in less damages on DA. althouhg id like to see more TBG, this would make the less turns pointless . keep tbg as it is but decrease turns.

You know, I was out with the family today, drove for 1.5 hrs, when I got to my destination, I had been attacked 3 times, my repair costs were 20m. Thought that was excessive. The return trip I got hit once, repair was 5m or something. Doesn't seem consistent.

  14. Default-avatar

this isn't a problem if less people had fewer attack tuns to use.

  15. Default-avatar

If the amount of turns is fixed, I think this won't be this big of a problem anymore

  16. Default-avatar

Less turns, more tbg and lower DA repairs would all help to fix this...

  17. 3 Default-avatar

Some players couldn't even pay their repairs with their income bonus. That's just not right !

  18. Default-avatar

Lowering DA repair costs is trying to fix a problem by changing the outcome not by solving the origin.

As it stands the game is almost unbearable for those that prefer the DA route, reduce repair costs.
