But who takes their gold with them into battle when they attack another base? Nobody. So I don't think you should lose money for getting defended. And also, there is a reason that each soldier only brings like 28 gold each. We get attack turns to compensate for that, the game is all about warfare, attacking, etc. With tons of gold per soldier, attacking wouldn't be necessary.
That's all part of the game. Kings of CHAOS, after all. To have a hostile environment over a chaos-ridden world, it makes sense to get attacked right after having gotten many treasures, it's a great factor of the game. Bad idea IMO
If we were to have the rule that if an item is 5% of someone's armory, it cannot be sabbed, that would be good to have it back. But if we introduce that 10,000,000 dollar weapon, you could have 20 of them and only lose one in sabs, it would be too much power in too few items, I disagree.
This idea sounds like the introduction of "heroes" into your army, or captains to say the least. Sounds like fun, have a hero with for example special abilities (or bonuses to the army (such as +% attack or +% gold stolen, maybe % less casualties) whatever works)
I agree with custos, in fact I agree with almost everything he says on any topic in here he has a good sense of the game.
The 11 attempts was fantastic in my opinion, gave enough tries to hurt someone a bit without utterly demolishing them. I think the 5 attacks/11 recon (or sab) system was great. Also, I'd say raise the ammount you can sab, cause I could only hit like 1 IS out of 200. It was dumb
But first, the game's quarks may have to be worked out, and balance must be restored.
